Mahesh Babu immerses Krishna's ashes in river at Undavalli
Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu on Monday immersed the ashes of his father and legendary actor Krishna in Krishna River near Vijayawada
VIJAYAWADA: Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu on Monday immersed the ashes of his father and legendary actor Krishna in Krishna River near Vijayawada. The ashes were immersed after rituals were performed for this purpose as per family tradtions at the river ghat in Undavalli near here.
He was accompanied on this occasion by family members and friends from the film industry including producers and directors Trivikram Srinivas and Meher Ramesh.
It is reported that the family had decided to immerse the actor's ashes in Krishna River as his native village Burripalem in undivided Guntur district was in the catchment area of the same river.
Earlier, Mahesh Babu and his entourage flew from Hyderabad by a special flight and landed at the Gannavaram Airport.
Krishna, the original Superstar of the Telugu films, passed away on November 15 in Hyderabad due to multiple organ failure. He was cremated with full State honours at the Filmnagar Mahaprasthanam crematorium on November 19.
Videos and photos of Mahesh Babu and his family reaching the Gannavaram airport were circulated all over social media. With the news spreading, fans began following the actor's convoy of vehicles, prompting the police to step up the security.
