Mamata Banarjee, BJP MP Laxman come in support of Chandrababu Naidu
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee condemned the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu and termed it as political vendetta
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who was sent for 14-day judicial custody on Sunday in connection with a scam in AP Skill Development Corporation, received support from different quarters across the country on Monday.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee condemned the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu and termed it as political vendetta. She expressed her concern over the manner in which Naidu was arrested and stated that it could be incorrect. “If any scam was found during the TDP regime, it should be addressed through dialogue and investigation. Resorting to divisive actions is not the right approach,” Mamata Banarjee said.
In New Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC Morcha national president and Rajya Sabha member K Laxman said, “The BJP is opposing the way Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in connection with a scam in AP Skill Development Corporation. How can the latter be arrested without asking for any explanation from him? It is highly deplorable to arrest Chandrababu Naidu without mentioning his name in the FIR.”
Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan solidly supported Chandrababu Naidu and staged a protest at Jaggayyapeta in NTR district. He also asserted that he would continue to offer his support to the TDP president in all aspects.
