Man finds diamond, sells it in NTR district, police launch probe
An incident in which a Jewellery merchant allegedly bought a diamond for a sum of Rs. 2.5 crore in the NTR district has come to light late and created a sensation in the district.

VIJAYAWADA: An incident in which a Jewellery merchant allegedly bought a diamond for a sum of Rs. 2.5 crore in the NTR district has come to light late and created a sensation in the district.
According to available details, a man hailing from Chanderlapadu village of Nandigama mandal found a diamond and sold it to a person from Jaggayyapet village of Jaggayyapet mandal for Rs. 16 lakh.
Later, the news spread that the diamond was bought by gold and diamond merchant of Vijayawada. However, as the matter spread, the person who sold the diamond threatened not to talk about the incident.
It is reported that the entire incident had happened at the behest of a police officer. Meanwhile, the police are inquiring into the purchase and sale of this diamond.
