MANGALAGIRI: TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and JSP president Pawan Kalyan discussed the future course of action after the stupendous performance in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the State.
Chandrababu Naidu arrived at the JSP headquarters in Mangalagiri on Tuesday where he was welcomed by Pawan Kalyan and his son Akira with a garland. They discussed details of the oath-taking ceremony, the composition of the cabinet, and the NDA meeting in New Delhi scheduled for Wednesday.
Earlier, Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan addressing the party cadre said that the people of Andhra Pradesh voted for a change and the alliance would work to lay a strong foundation for a developed Andhra Pradesh. “This is a time for caregiving and to take revenge on opponents. Let us protect the farmers, women, and the affected sections,” he said.
He assured that he would ensure the alliance Government would implement the contributory pension scheme or an equivalent scheme within a year. “We have promised Mega DSC notification and it is my responsibility to see that the notification is given,” Pawan Kalyan said. He said that the new Government would concentrate on the skill development of the unemployed. “We will ensure that the law and order is restored and roads and infrastructure are developed,” the JSP chief said.
Stating that there was no change in the state of mind even after winning 21 out of 21 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats, he said that he was afraid as this victory rested a much heavier responsibility. “I was afraid when people started wishing me today. It is a lot of responsibility. I took inspiration from the defeat in Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram. I thank the voters of Pithapuram. They represent five crore people of the State of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
