VIJAYAWADA: President Draupadi Murmu has taken serious note of the recent social media posts against Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Judge Satya Venkata Hima Bindu who is currently hearing arguments in the skill development scam case where TDP president Chandrababu Naidu is one of the main accused.
Rashtrapati Bhavan Secretary PC Meena wrote a letter to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy on Saturday asking him to appropriate action on social media posts against the ACB Court judge. The letter from President Draupadi Murmu's office was in response to complaint filed by Andhra Pradesh High Court lawyer Ramanujam who said that the posts against Hima Bindu were degrading her status and dignity.
Ramanujam said that the TDP workers were creating fake posts on social media insulting the judge for sending Chandrababu Naidu to jail. Rashtrapati Bhavan Secretary PC Meena responded and wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary.
The trollers recently started spreading fake news that Hima Bindu belonged to the Reddy community and that she got low marks in civil judge exams. Both the claims turned out to be fake. In another fabricated video, a woman who looks like Justice Hima Bindu was shown cutting a cake which, according to trollers, was shot after she sent Chandrababu Naidu sent to jail.
