AMARAVATI: IT Minister Naa Lokesh directed the police to take strict action against ganja menace within 100 days.

Addressing media in Mangalagiri after offering prayers at the Idgah with Muslim brethren, Lokesh said that he met the Home Minister, TDP party chief, and police officials and explained to them the promise he made to eradicate the mess during his padayatra.

He assured that he would plan every programme to serve the people of Mangalagiri who elected him to power.

He alleged that TDP leaders were murdered in the state by the YCP goons. “Is it not true that a minority brother was beaten to death with a cricket bat in Chiluvuru in Mangalagiri constituency,” he said.

He said that TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu advised the TDP cadre not to retaliate even if there was a provocation by the YCP. “How can the YCP accuse Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu while he was the one who advised to protect law and order? Can you tell me what the Mangalagiri MLA did for 10 years, he should remember that I came just 10 days ago,”

Replying to a question on Rushikonda palace Lokesh said that the Chief Minister asked the officials to submit a report on the Vizag Rishikonda issue. “Many things like Rishikonda have happened in the state and we will reveal everything to the public after the report is out,” he said.
