Nara Lokesh writes to CBFC to not certify RGV's 'Vyooham'
Lokesh said that the film was picturised to influence the voters in Andhra Pradesh at the behest of YS Jagan, tarnishing the reputation of Chandrababu Naidu
AMARAVATI: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh has written to the regional officer of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) appealing not to certify the film 'Vyooham' directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
Lokesh's letter to the CBFC went viral on social media platforms on Thursday. The TDP general secretary said that the film was picturised to influence the voters in Andhra Pradesh at the behest of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, tarnishing the reputation of TDP national president and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Lokesh pointed out that the film makers also mentioned Naidu as a king pin in the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation scam. While YS Jagan was portrayed as an innocent and he was on the verge of facing trial in all the eleven cases of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and seven cases of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). "I request the CBFC not to issue a certificate for the public exhibition of Vyooham movie," Lokesh said.
