TENALI: Stone-pelting on Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan is fake. A skirmish between a few people was dubbed as stone-pelting.
A person by name Mamillapalli Nageswara Rao of Ponnur mandal in Guntur district tried for a handshake with Pawan Kalyan when the latter came to Tenali on Sunday.
In the melee, his hand had hit another person and his relatives attacked Nageswara Rao and roughed him up.
However, rumour-mongers spread the news as a stone attack and that too on the actor. Finally, the claim that a stone was pelted on Pawan Kalyan in Tenali, which was not true.
Nageswara Rao himself confessed that it was not a stone pelting incident and it was an attack on home due to small skirmish among some people.
The police who had heaved a sigh of relief urged people not to spread rumours in sensitive situations.
