Pawan Kalyan is no custodian of the Kapus: Gudivada Amarnath
Gudivada Amarnath on Tuesday said that Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan was not the custodian of the Kapu community
VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries and Information Technology Gudivada Amarnath on Tuesday said that Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan was not the custodian of the Kapu community. Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, Amarnath dared the Jana Sena chief to declare that his party would contest in all the 175 seats in the state.
Stating that Jana Sena Party was a cinema party, Gudivada Amarnath said that there would be a policy for every political party but the former had no such characteristics. He wanted to know why Pawan Kalyan was silent when Mudragadda Padmanabham was attacked and why he was talking now about the welfare of the Kapu community. He also wondered where he was when Chiranjeevi and Dasari Narayana Rao were fighting for the rights of the Kapu community.
The minister also found fault with the claims of the Jana Sena chief over the killing of Vangaveeti Ranga. He alleged that Pawan Kalyan was associating himself with those responsible for the murder of Ranga. In a sarcastic tone, he said that the Jana Sena cadre should be ready to work for the TDP as their leader was in no way ready to fight the elections and would be limiting his party to contesting in 10 seats.
Gudivada Amarnath also clarified that Pawan Kalyan was not the reason why the YSRCP convened the meeting with Kapu leaders. It was a casual meeting which will be held regularly on various issues, he added. Condemning Pawan Kalyan's comments on Kapu leaders, Amarnath said that they had held the meeting to discuss the welfare activities that were taken up to benefit the Kapus.
