Pawan Kalyan likely to be Dy CM; Nara Lokesh's portfolio frozen; Chandrababu working on Cabinet

AMARAVATI: The stage is set for the formation of the new Government in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP and the Jana Sena Party will be part of Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet.

For the past few days, there has been confusion about Pawan’s intentions but he has clarified that he will be joining the Government. This was revealed by Pawan Kalyan himself to the national media.

Lokesh will also join the cabinet. The role of both Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh in the new Government has become clear. The implementation of election promises and the coordination of the three parties will be crucial for both.

This time, the coordination with the ruling allies in AP will be a test of Chandrababu's ability. The number of ministers from Jana Sena and BJP has already been decided.

Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan will take oath as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 12 in a grand ceremony. With the TDP winning 135 seats, the number of seniors among the winners is high. Priority will be given to socio-regional equations.

Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu are having discussions on the same. The Janasena is likely to get four ministerial posts. Party sources say that both of them have decided on the portfolios.

According to sources, Pawan Kalyan has been allocated Home and Rural Development departments. It is said that Pawan Kalyan wanted 4-5 departments for Janasena in AP as the party could not get a ministerial berth at the Centre. Nara Lokesh will be given the portfolios of IT, Industries, and Urban Development, as it is important to create employment for the youth from the capital region.

The construction of Amaravati will also come under the purview of urban development. However, one must wait and see whether Lokesh will be entrusted with that duty or handed over to Narayana, who supervised the construction of capital in the past.
