Pawan Kalyan sworn in MLA in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly

Protem Speaker Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary administered the oath to Pawan Kalyan

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Konidela Pawan Kalyan took oath as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Friday.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was sworn in as an Honorary Legislator of the Andhra Pradesh State on Friday. Protem Speaker Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary administered the oath to Pawan Kalyan.

At the beginning of the session, the Honorary Speaker explained the meeting's traditions and invited all members to take the oath. Initially, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu took the oath.

Later, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was invited by the Speaker to take the oath. As soon as Pawan Kalyan stood up to take the oath as a legislator, all members in the House stood up as a mark of respect and applauded.

Konidela Pawan Kalyan, having been elected as a Member of the Legislature, swore as a witness that he would abide by the Constitution of India as framed by statute and perform his duties. Later, the Protem Speaker congratulated Pawan Kalyan and he then signed the register.

Upon entering the House, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan greeted each other with a hug.

Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and Tourism and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh also took the oath as legislators alongside Pawan Kalyan.
