President Murmu to unveil Rs 100 NTR coin on August 28
Draupadi Murmu, would be presiding the ceremony with all the members of NTR's family including Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram.
HYDERABAD: Family members of the legendary actor and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) will be participating in an event over the unveiling of Rs 100 coin featuring NTR at Rashtrapati Bhavan In Delhi on August 28. The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, would be presiding the ceremony with all the members of NTR's family including Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram.
The Centre had developed the coin with the portrayal of NTR as part of the NTR centenary celebrations. The coin, worth one hundred rupees, has a diameter of 44 mm and has 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, 5 per cent nickel and 5 per cent zinc with one side of the coin featuring three lions and the Ashoka Chakra, while the other side displays a picture of NTR along with text which reads "Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Satha Jayanthi". The coin would be marked with the years 1923-2023 to commemorate NTR's centenary.
On the other hand, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), is also scheduled to visit Delhi on August 28th. During his visit, he will meet with top officials of the Central Election Commission (CEC) besides participating in the coin release program raise concerns about irregularities in the voter list in Andhra Pradesh and provide the necessary evidence to the election commission officials.
The TDP chief expressed dissatisfaction with the response from district officials regarding complaints about the voter list irregularities.
