Skill Scam: Atchannaidu flays YSRCP Govt for foisting false case against Chandrababu Naidu
Atchannaidu, accompanied by Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari and daughter-in-law Nara Brahamani and TDP senior leader Prathipati Pulla Rao met Naidu in jail through the 'mulaqaat' facility
RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Andhra Pradesh unit president K Atchannaidu has alleged that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was kept in jail by foisting a false case without any evidence in alleged multi-crore scam in AP Skill Development Corporation.
Atchannaidu, accompanied by Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari and daughter-in-law Nara Brahamani and TDP senior leader Prathipati Pulla Rao met the former Chief Minister in jail through the 'mulaqaat' facility at the prison on Monday. They all spent almost 45 minutes in jail with Naidu.
“There should be minimal evidence to file any case. But in this case, Naidu was arrested without any preliminary evidence. People are not being told the facts. Naidu was questioned for two days by AP CID. Did they find any evidence? No response from them,” Atchannaidu told the media outside the jail after meeting Naidu.
The TDP president said that Naidu played a crucial role in national politics and spent lakhs of crores of budget for the welfare of the people. “How can someone of that stature do a scam worth Rs 330 crore? Condemning Naidu’s arrest, several youths are voluntarily hitting the streets but the police are trying to suppress the movement which is highly deplorable,” Atchannaidu said.
Atchannaidu also expressed his confidence that the TDP would win the upcoming elections unilaterally in Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, the pre-poll surveys done by the national agencies indicated the same. He also criticized that Naidu was arrested for a political vendetta by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) as it was unable to digest the fact that the TDP gained a patronage among the people.
