AMARAVATI: TDP MLA from Satyavedu, Koneti Adimulam, received relief from the Andhra Pradesh High Court after a woman who had filed a sexual harassment case against him withdrew her complaint. The court dismissed the case following the complainant's statement that the allegations were false.

The case, filed on September 5, involved serious accusations of rape and threats by Adimoolam, with the woman alleging that he assaulted her multiple times at Bheema's Paradise Hotel in Tirupati. The incident gained widespread attention when video footage related to the accusations was released to the media, leading to Adimulam's suspension from the TDP.

However, on September 20, the complainant appeared in the High Court and stated that the allegations she had made were untrue. She submitted a notarised affidavit to the court, declaring that the claims were baseless and influenced by a third party. Following this, Adimoolam’s legal team requested the dismissal of the case, citing the complainant's retraction.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court dismissed the case against Adimoolam, bringing an end to the legal proceedings.
