TDP second list: Chandrababu Naidu focuses on second generation leaders
In the latest list, Naidu has given an opportunity to almost all the current party in-charges. In some constituencies, tickets have been allotted to successors rather than senior leaders.
VIJAYAWADA: The TDP has released its second list of 34 candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
In a message on X on Thursday, TDP president Chandrababu Naidu wrote, "The first list of candidates contesting on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party in the upcoming 2024 elections has already been placed before the public. Now we have brought you the second list, with 34 more candidates.".
"As always in the selection of candidates, public opinion has been given priority in this list as well. I request the people of the state to bless all the TDP candidates and make them win," he added.

In Venkatagiri of Tirupati district, senior TDP leader Kurugondla Ramakrishna has been replaced by his daughter Lakshmi Priya. Also, instead of Putta Narasimha Reddy in Kamalapuram of Kadapa district, his son Chaitanya Reddy has been allotted a seat. In Puttaparthi also, instead from Raghunatha Reddy, his daughter-in-law Sindhura has been given a ticket.
In Kadiri, ticket has been denied to Kandikunta Prasad and has been given to his wife Yashoda. Changes have also been made in Peddakurapadu in Guntur district. An opportunity to Bhashyam Praveen instead of senior leader Kommalapati Sridhar.
In this list announced on Thursday, one is a PhD candidate, 11 are post-graduation candidates and nine are graduates. Eight have studied upto Intermediate and five upto Class 10.
There are 27 men and seven women among the total list of candidates. When it comes to the age of candidates, there are two between 25-35, eight between 36-45, 19 between 46-60, three between 61-75 and two above the age of 75.
