Telugu student from Adoni killed in road accident in Seattle, US

HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old student from Adoni of Andhra Pradesh was killed in a road crash in Seattle's South Lake Union neighbourhood on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Jahnavi Kandula, a Telugu student in Seattle.

According to reports, she was walking along the road in South Lake Union when she was hit by a police patrol vehicle. Jahnavi Kandula reportedly died at a hospital of multiple injuries sustained in the accident.

Emergency personnel rushed to the scene of the mishap, which occurred at around 8 pm on Dexter Avenue North and Thomas Street, and conducted CPR on Kandula before transporting her to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The officer, who caused the accident, had not been identified by the department, and the traffic collision investigation team was investigating the incident.
