HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is expected to win a majority of Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, while the YSR Congress is going to triumph again in Andhra Pradesh.

Times Now-ETG polls survey put out on Monday, the numbers came in favour of the ruling parties in both States.

The survey report suggested that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi would win 9 to 11 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats with an expected vote share of 38.40. The nearest rival “INDIA”, led by the Congress, is likely to win 3-4 Lok Sabha seats from Telangana.

The INDIA conglomerate is expected to net a vote share of 29.90 percent. The NDA-led by the BJP is predicted to win 2-3 Lok Sabha seats with 28.30 percent of votes. Others, as in the All India Majlis-e-Ittehaadul Muslimeen would win one seat with over 7 percent votes.

The survey report boosted the morale of the BRS ranks which are already in an upbeat mood with party supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) putting the party on top gear by announcing party tickets for 115 out of 119 Assembly seats well in advance leaving the rivals to grapple with the situation. This apart the party’s star campaigners IT Minister and Working President K T Rama Rao and Finance Minister T Harish Rao covering seven districts each every week for government and political programmes.

YSRC expects ‘Jagannaut’ to keep rolling

The Times Now-ETG survey gave 24-25 seats to the ruling YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh. The triumph is so much that the YSR Congress rank and file is being cautioned by its top leadership not to become overconfident.

The vote share given to YSR Congress is 51.10 percent; while the Telugu Desam Party is predicted to get 36.40 percent. The motormouth Jana Sena is not likely to get more than 10 percent and the BJP, a niggardly 1.30 percent.

The survey is conducted in the month of September after the arrest of TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu.
