Tirumala Laddu size, quality not reduced: TTD

TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) clarified on Thursday that the weight of Tirumala laddu was not reduced and that the confusion was caused by a technical glitch in the weighing machine.

There is no compromise on the weight or the laddus' quality, according to the TTD officials, who made it very clear that the laddu's weight is exactly 160 to 180 grams, as prescribed.

According to the officials, the laddus prepared by the potu workers are placed in a separate tray and the weight of each tray is thoroughly checked. They claimed that the process for distribution of laddus was entirely transparent.

The TTD officials have urged devotees to report any problems with the prasadams to the laddu counter rather than making false accusations on social media platforms. The board also urged the devotees not to believe such misinformation spread on social media.
