TTD break darshan made easy: Now payment through online, no need to stand in MBC-34 line
The recently introduced SMS pay system will help the devotees to avail of the tickets under the discretionary quota for Tirumala Srivari darshan without standing in lines.
TIRUMALA: Putting an end to long lines at the MBC-34 counter on Tirumala Hills to pay for the VIP break darshan tickets after getting confirmation, the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced an online payment system.
The recently introduced SMS pay system will help the devotees to avail of the tickets under the discretionary quota for Tirumala Srivari darshan without standing in lines. It has been a practice that the devotees with VIP letters requesting break darshan will submit their letters for scrutiny in the morning at the TEO office on the hills. They will receive a confirmation SMS by the evening. Upon receiving the confirmation they must reach MBC-34 to pay Rs 500 per ticket and receive the tickets.
The new system was implemented from February 1 onwards. In the new system, the pay link will be sent through SMS to the devotee. Devotees can click on that link and pay online through UPI or Credit Card or Debit Card and take printouts of break darshan tickets without going to the MBC-34 counter.
This procedure is already in vogue for devotees who are getting seva tickets earned through the offline lucky dip system in the Central Reservation Office (CRO).
