TTD Dharmic Sadas resolves to help people from other faiths to embrace Sanatana Dharma, to discourage conversion
TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said that if people of any other religious faiths voluntarily come forward to practice Hinduism, such persons will be welcomed to the Hindu way of life.
TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) which manages the richest Temple in the Country will help people from other faiths to embrace the Sanatana Dharma. This programme will be initiated at the lotus feet of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala with the sprinkling of sacred water.
Announcing the resolutions passed by the three-day Dharmic Sadas at the Astana Mandapam at Tirumala, TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said that if people of any other religious faiths voluntarily come forward to practice Hinduism, such persons will be welcomed to the Hindu way of life, will be trained in Hindu rituals, traditions, and practices that were taught in Hindu Sanatana Dharma.
“The discriminatory attitude of some people towards certain castes has led to religious conversions, especially in rural areas. Suitable measures are needed to prevent such religious conversions, he said. In today's hi-fi society, many of the youth belonging to Hinduism were found changing their religion due to the influence of the environment around them and the temptations of wealth. The conference concluded that many training camps and other schemes would be necessary to put an end to this situation.
The TTD would help propagate ‘Ithihasas’ and ‘Puranas’ in such a way that all sections of people from children to adults easily understand the essence. The Dharmic Sadas resolved that there was a need to train Dharma Pracharakas.
Other resolutions:
The pilgrims should equally feel a spiritual atmosphere in Tirupati akin to Tirumala. The conference decided to change Tirupati accordingly.
In Indian society, temples teach good manners to all. Thousands of such temples were crumbling, and in some places disappearing altogether. Revival of dilapidated temples and construction of Mandirs in Harijan, tribal, and fishing areas need to be taken in a big way.
TTD constructed thousands of temples in the backward areas under SRIVANI Trust and would continue the programme.
‘Gou Samrakshana’ activity would be taken forward in a widespread manner to protect cows.
Measures would be taken towards the preservation of Veda Dharma and Vedic sciences
Hindu Sanatana Dharma needs to be propagated so that its essence reaches every common man and village folk.
The place of a mother is highly revered in the society. So mothers should be given training in Hindu Sanatana Dharma so that they could teach their children from a tender age and make them good citizens.
Safeguarding the bio-diversity of Tirumala
The religious activities in Harijanawadas and Girijanawadas must be taken up to avoid conversions.
The conference concluded that Dharmic schemes and programmes would be successful only when they reached the target audience. It was felt that there was a need to teach as many people as possible to protect their religion and promote spirituality in every person.
The conference decided to conduct extensive training programs to increase self-confidence in the Hindu community.
The Dravida Veda, which was given by the 12 Alwars for the welfare of mankind, akin to Vedas would be encouraged.
The priority of Hindu Dharma should be emphasised in the existing curricula of various schools.
To teach Telugu and Sanskrit to young men and women to understand and practice Hinduism.
The principles of Sanatana Dharma should reach every nook and corner utilising the tools of social media in a big way.
Such conferences should be held in Tirumala or Tirupati once every year as this conference contributes to the preservation of Hindu Dharma.
Dharmic sadas to be held at village and district levels to enlighten the rural masses.
The resolutions passed in this conference should be implemented not only by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams but also by all the Hindu religious and charitable institutions present across the globe towards the preservation of Hindu Dharma.
