NELLORE: YSRCP Udayagiri MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy is being shifted to Chennai for better treatment after he suffered a heart attack on Tuesday night.
After his sudden collapse, he was taken to the emergency ward of Apollo Hospital in Nellore.
Doctors of the Apollo Hospital said that there were blood clots in two valves in his heart.
The YSRCP leader was being shifted to Chennai after doctors declared that his condition was stable and out of danger.
Kavali DSP Venkata Ramana and Udayagiri CI Giri Babu reached the hospital and were monitoring the arrangements.
Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy was involved in a couple of controversies, personally and politically. He commented on internal differences in the YSRCP and expressed displeasure over the appointment of the party coordinator in Udayagiri.
The YSRCP MLA said, "I am feeling much better. They will just run a few tests on me and I will be discharged. I will be fit and fine and return home in two days."
