AMARAVATI: Staff of Mangalagiri Tadepalli Municipal Corporation (MTMC) and CRDA undertook the demolition of the under construction YSRCP office in Tadepally during the early hours of Saturday.

The MTMC officials said that the land occupied by the YSRCP was irrigation land and hence they unofficially demolished the structure built by the YSRCP.

When he was Chief Minister, YS Jagan allotted two acres of irrigation land in survey number 202 / A1 in Tadepalli to the YSRCP office. YCP leaders planned to build buildings on two acres and sought to expand to the remaining 15 acres

However, the CRDA, MTMC, and the AP Irrigation Department took possession of the land on Saturday by demolishing the structures with the help of bulldozers. They explained that the YCP did not apply for approval of the plan to build the YCP office.

The action was taken based on a complaint filed by the TDP Guntur district general secretary Pothineni Srinivasa Rao that the construction of the YCP office was done without permission. He wanted action against encroachments and illegal constructions.

Meanwhile taking to X, former Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu unleashed a political storm in Andhra Pradesh.

“In a dictatorial way, the almost completed YSRC Party central office in Tadepalli has been demolished with bulldozers. The orders of the High Court were also quashed. Law and order has completely collapsed in the state,” he said.

Chandrababu, who has been shedding blood with the incidents of violence after the elections, had given a violent message through this incident about how his rule would be for the coming five years, Jagan pointed out.

“The YSRCP has neither bowed down nor turned its back on these threats and vindictive actions. We will fight for the people, by the people, and for the people. I urge all the democratic forces of the country to condemn Chandrababu's misdeeds,” YS Jagan said.
