Union Minister hails free surgeries for poor patients by TTD
He said he was impressed and hailed the TTD management and the team of Doctors for conducting over 1,600 free heart operations, surgeries transplantations
TIRUPATI: Union minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has hailed TTD-run Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Centre Hospital for its international standards and complimented free surgeries performed on poor children.
Speaking to the media after visiting the hospital on Thursday, the Union Minister said that infrastructure for heart and lung transplants was only accessible in major cities such as Chennai and Hyderabad. The needy poor could not afford the cost of these surgeries.
He said there was a shortage of trained doctors for conducting heart transplants etc. in the country.
He said he was impressed and hailed the TTD management and the team of Doctors for conducting over 1,600 free heart operations, surgeries transplantations etc. and described it as a greatest service to Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
The minister went round the hospital and visited ICU, OP wings, operation theatres and general wards and complimented the ambience, facilities and infrastructure for the poor patients.
Union minister offers prayers in Tiruchanoor temple
Union Minister Gadkari visited Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple and had darshan of Goddess Padmavati Devi in Tiruchanoor on Thursday along with his family.
Later, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy presented him vastram, Prasadam and photo of Sri Venkateswara.
