AMARAVATI: The YS Jaganmohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh Government on Tuesday received a shot in the arm after a key official of the Uttar Pradesh Government paid rich compliments to its novel initiatives like Village Secretariats.

Saket Misra, Special Advisor to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter’s camp office in Tadepalli and appreciated the State Government for successfully implementing its basket of welfare schemes.

Speaking to the media after meeting YS Jagan, Saket Misra said that he came to Andhra Pradesh to personally see the implementation of welfare initiatives on the ground. He expressed his fascination for concepts like Village Secretariats and the reforms in the health and medical sector. Terming the Village Secretariats a revolutionary idea, he complimented the Andhra Pradesh Government for successfully running more than 10,000 of them with the philosophy of going to the last mile in reaching the benefits to the last man.

Saket Misra said that he even suggested to YS Jagan during his interaction that the welfare schemes of Andhra Pradesh should be publicised widely across the country so that other states could learn about them and emulate.
