VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana ruled out the speculations of knowing the accused KV Hemanth Kumar, who kidnapped his family members and auditor at Rushikonda here on Thursday.
Speaking to the media persons at Visakhapatnam Airport, Satyanarayana said that Hemanth Kumar had never worked for him and clarified that the accused has kidnapped his family members only expecting money. He thanked the police personnel for their swift response and chasing the kidnap mystery within a few hours.
The MP further said that three days ago, Hemanth Kumar broke into the house in Rushikonda where his son was staying and detained him. After that, the accused forced my son Sarath Chandra to call his mother Jyoti and inform that he was unwell and needed her assistance for him. When Jyoti reached Sarath Chandra's house, the accused even detained her, Satyanarayana said.
Further, the accused even harassed Sarath Chandra and Jyoti to their family friend and auditor Gannamaneni Venkateswara Rao (GV) to their house to kidnap him. After Venkateswara Rao reached Rushikonda, the accused detained him and began calling demanding an amount as a ransom, the MP said, adding that he was in Hyderabad while his family members were detained by Hemanth.
Satyanarayana further said that he had spoken to Venkateswara Rao over phone on Wednesday morning. However, the auditor disconnected his call several times. Later, Venkateswara Rao called over the phone to him and told that income raids were going on at Srikakulam. "Suspecting an emergency, I have filed a complaint with the police. Based on it, the police launched a probe by forming 17 special teams and traced the identity of the accused in Rushikonda through his mobile signals", the MP said.
Satyanarayana also maintained that the accused had kidnapped his family members only expecting money and ruled out revenge from the realtors against him. Earlier kidnap cases and a murder case were also registered against the accused. "Hemanth didn't even quote the amount required for him after kidnapping his family members. Fortunately, my daughter-in-law was out of town during the incident, if not she would also face the harassment made by the accused to his family members and auditor ", the MP informed.
