Will Mudragada Padmanabham join hands with TDP or Jana Sena?

VIJAYAWADA: There is hectic political activity in Andhra Pradesh with elections round the corner. Over the last couple of weeks, leaders from both the ruling YSRCP and the TDP switched parties and a few even joined the Jana Sena Party and the Congress.
In this scenario, key Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has decided to begin a fresh innings in politics by announcing that he would joining one of the political parties.
Padmanabham is a key Kapu leader and his decision could sway votes of the community in a particular party's favour at least in the Godavari districts, if not the entire State. That’s the reason why all the political parties in Andhra Pradesh are trying to woo Mudragada.
A few weeks ago, Mudragada was in constant touch with the YSRCP and it was believed that he would join the ruling party. According to reports, YSRCP offered him a choice to choose the constituency he wished to contest from. However, for reasons unknown, Mudragada started keeping a distance from the party.

On Thursday, Jana Sena leaders including Bolishetti Srinivas, Tataji and other Kapu JAC leaders met Mudragada's at his Kirlampudi residence in Kakinada. However, the leaders said it was a casual meet. Rumours are rife that Pawan Kalyan might meet Mudragada in the next two or three days. Jana Sena leaders are however tight-lipped about this meeting.
In a chitchat with the media on Thursday, Mudragada Padmanabham's son Giribabu said that there was a possibility of the father-son duo joining the TDP or the Jana Sena. He also clarified that Mudragada was not interested in joining the ruling YSRCP. The decision would be a key factor in the swing of Kapu votes in the State.
