JAYAWADA: Tension prevailed for a while in Rangannagudem, Krishna district on Thursday, when a flex banner was arranged by the villagers welcoming Nara Lokesh with the pictures of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and MLA's Kodali Nani and Vallabhanaeni Vamsi.
Nara Lokesh was participating in 'Yuvagalam' padyatra in Krishna District for the last three days. He was in Rangannagudem on Thursday. After noticing the flex banner, heated arguments were exchanged between the activists of the YSRCP and TDP about erecting a banner with the pictures of YS Jagan, Kodali Nani and Vallabhanaeni Vamsi.
At that moment, a few TDP activists attempted to remove the banner, which created a minor scuffle among both the party activists. With the situation going out of control, a team of police personnel from a nearby station rushed to the spot to restore normalcy on the spot.
Meanwhile, Lokesh, alongwith TDP leaders Kollu Ravindra and Devineni Umamaheswara Rao stood before the banner for a while and questioned the police for not protecting the law and order.
