YS Jagan to walk to Tirumala temple, calls for statewide prayers on September 28
YSRCP leader calls for statewide temple prayers to restore sanctity after Chandrababu's remarks on laddu purity.

AMARAVATI: Amid allegations of adulteration of the Tirumala laddu prasad, YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced plans to visit the Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy temple on September 28, walking up the hill on foot.
The visit comes in response to comments made by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, which Jagan claims have tarnished the sanctity of the temple and its offerings.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Jagan called for statewide prayers to be held in all temples across Andhra Pradesh on the same day. He urged people to participate in these prayers to restore the honour of the temple and cleanse the damage caused by Chandrababu's allegations.
The controversy stems from Chandrababu Naidu’s claim that the sacred laddu prasad of Tirumala had been adulterated with animal fat, damaging the reputation of both the temple and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Jagan condemned these statements as false and politically motivated, accusing Naidu of misleading devotees.
The YSRCP leader emphasised that these statewide prayers are aimed at reaffirming the purity of the temple and its offerings, which he believes have been harmed by the baseless allegations.
