YS Jagan off to Delhi at night after evening flight aborted due to technical snag

GANNAVARAM: The plane with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy on board made an emergency landing back at the Gannavaram Airport due to a technical snag, minutes after its take-off on Monday evening. The incident happened when the Chief Minister took off to Delhi as part of his scheduled visit to the national capital. After retreating to his Tadepalli residence, YS Jagan finally departed for Delhi a few hours later at around 9 pm by another special flight.
The Chief Minister will have a night stay at his residence on Janpath street in Delhi. On Tuesday, YS Jagan will take part as the chief guest in the curtain-raiser events for the AP Global Investors Summit Round-table Conference. As part of the curtain-raiser events, to be held at Leela Palace Hotel in Delhi, the Chief Minister will interact and hold deliberations with diplomats of various countries. He will fly back to Gannavaram Airport soon after the meetings.
The AP Global Investors Summit is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4, 2023.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy, Special Chief Secretary to the CM Poonam Malakondaiah, OSD P Krishnamohan Reddy and CSO Chidananda Reddy were among the officials accompanying YS Jagan on this tour.
Earlier in the evening, the technical snag was reportedly noticed after the plane was airborne prompting its emergency landing back at the Gannavaram airport. YS Jagan immediately headed back to his residence cum camp office in Tadepalle from the airport.
According to the Chief Minister's office, YS Jagan and a team of officials took off at 5:03 pm for their visit to Delhi. After a while, the pilot noticed a technical problem in the plane. The flight was diverted back and landed safely at Gannavaram at 5:27 pm. Chief Minister has returned to Tadepalli residence.
Reports also claimed that the flight to Delhi was aborted as soon as the pilot detected malfunctioning of the plane's air-conditioning system.
