YS Jagan’s ramp walk instant hit, nails Chandrababu Naidu’s bad track record
While the opposition slammed the YSRCP campaign managers for choosing a cross-shaped ramp for Bheemili, the ramp in Denduluru was structured like a fan, the YSRCP symbol.
ELURU: Departing from the stereotypical mega stages used to address massive gatherings in election campaigns the YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy started using ramps to reach out to the cadre.
While the opposition slammed the YSRCP campaign managers for choosing a cross-shaped ramp for Bheemili, the ramp in Denduluru was structured like a fan, the YSRCP symbol with three wings and the fourth one linking to the rest of the crowd.

While YS Jagan made a point to personally greet everyone by walking on the ramp at the beginning of his speech, he took time to greet the massive crowds one more time after he completed his speech.
♦️Interestingly, @ysjagan walked backward without showing his back to the people like devotees in a temple who don’t turn their back to the deity.
♦️This was prominently noticed by all as his security men kept guard of him till he reached the main dais all the way walking backwards on the ramp with folded hands up in the air. Some way of paying obeisance to his party workers, karyakartas and people in general.
♦️Looks like he chose to do so to impress his audience by showing respect.
“Nara Chandrababu Naidu was Chief Minister for 14 years. Did he do anything for you?” he asked the booth-level cadre. He said that the TDP fulfilled only 10 percent of the promises it made where whereas the changes made by the YSRCP were tangible. “Weheras village and ward secretariats, corruption-less system, bi-lingual textbooks, digital boards, 2,13,000 Government jobs, 31 lakh house sites in which 25 lakh houses, four seaports, and 10 fishing harbours could be seen by the naked eye,” he said.
Explaining the need for electing the YSRCP for the second time, YS Jagan said that electing the TDP-JSP combine would mean an end to welfare. “The attack will be on our welfare schemes. Because for the YSRCP the election manifesto is a holy scripture and we fulfilled 99 percent of the promises we made,” he said.
Asking the cadre to think why the TDP-JSP alliance was distraught with YS Jagan, he said that they had a feudal mindset and never would like the poor to prosper. “I assure you that I will always help you move two steps ahead of their kind,” he said.
