The Supreme Court on Monday directed the CBI to submit the chargesheet and diary about the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to submit the chargesheet and diary about the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.
The apex court while postponing the hearing on YSRCP MP from Kadapa YS Avinash Reddy’s bail plea, said that it would take up hearing on the murder case from the second week of September.
The Court also deferred hearing on the bail petition of T Gangi Reddy, another accused in the YS Viveka murder case. The Supreme Court had already issued orders staying the bail granted to Gangi Reddy by the Telangana High Court. The Court further ordered that it would hear both bail petitions at the same time.
The Supreme Court also directed the CBI to file a counter on the petition filed by Dr Sunitha Reddy daughter of the slain leader challenging the Telangana High Court’s order, granting anticipatory bail to Avinash Reddy in connection with her father’s murder case.
