YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Sunita to join hands with Jagan’s sister Sharmila in Congress

AMARAVATI: Following the footsteps of her cousin sister YS Sharmila who joined the Congress in Andhra Pradesh, late Dr YS Vivekanda Reddy’s daughter Dr Narreddy Sunitha Reddy is all set to join the grand old party.

The news of her joining the Congress caused ripples in the already charged political scenario in the poll-bound State. While Sharmila became the APCC chief leading the beleaguered party in the fight against her brother and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sunitha Reddy was leading a legal fight for the arrest of another cousin brother and Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy for his alleged role in her father’s death.

It was anticipated that Sharmila would field her cousin either in Pulivendula as an MLA or Kadapa as an MP in the ensuing elections. Dr Sunitha Reddy who worked in the Apollo hospitals in Hyderabad became quite active after the tragic death of her father in Pulivendula just before Assembly elections in AP in March of 2019. She followed up on the case at different levels and provided vital information to the CBI, the investigating agency.
