NEW DELHI: YSRCP MPs have filed a complaint with the Central Election Commission (CEC) against the TDP for allegedly adding fake voters in Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP Parliamentary leader Vijayasai Reddy informed the media on Thursday that he had filed a complaint with the CEC with full evidence.

"The TDP is collecting caste, religion and personal details of people through ‘My Party Dash Board’ app in violation of Representation of People Act. We have brought to the attention of the EC officials that this is completely illegal and that this data is stored on a server in New York City, USA. Similar data was collected earlier in the name of Seva Mitra. We have also registered cases against them as they are trying to polarize by knowing a person’s caste," he said.

YSRCP MPs also complained that the TDP had 40,76,580 voters in Andhra Pradesh by changing the name of the family with a single photo. He said that the names of TDP sympathisers were registered as voters. "The TDP leaders registered the votes of those living in Hyderabad, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha in Andhra Pradesh," they said.

The MPs also claimed that the TDP was attacking booth level workers who were investigating the case of fake voters.

YSRCP has requested the Election Commission of India to thoroughly investigate these violations, hold those responsible accountable, and take necessary measures to safeguard the electoral process, ensuring that future elections are conducted in a fair and transparent manner, in accordance with the established legal frameworks.
