YSRCP govt fulfilled 2019 manifesto by treating it as holy book: YS Jagan
Addressing the people in Anantapur, Chief Minister YS Jagan promised to establish an Agriculture College in Tadipatri Constituency post-elections
ANANTAPUR: Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the YSRCP government had fulfilled the 2019 manifesto promises, considering it akin to a holy book during his electrifying campaign in Tadipatri, Anantapur district, on Sunday.
Addressing the people in Anantapur, Chief Minister YS Jagan promised to establish an Agriculture College in Tadipatri Constituency post-elections.
"This election isn't just about electing MPs and MLAs but about continuing welfare schemes that improve the lives of the poor for the next five years. All schemes will persist if you vote for YSRCP, but will be discontinued if you vote for TDP," said Chief Minister Jagan.
Criticising TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu for repeatedly promising schemes impossible to implement, YS Jagan said, "Chandrababu is returning with lies and fake promises to exploit the poor, like a Chandramukhi (referring to a movie character)."
"We fulfilled the manifesto promises, treating it like a holy book. It will be etched in history that your child (Jagan) pressed the DBT button 130 times, disbursing over Rs. 2.70 lakh directly into the accounts of beneficiaries," said the Chief Minister amidst the rousing crowd.
Explaining the jobs provided by the YSRCP government, the Chief Minister said, "Our government provided over 2.31 lakh jobs benefiting SC/ST/BC and minority communities. In every village/town, we introduced door-to-door services through the secretariat and volunteer systems."
The Chief Minister also highlighted revolutionary measures like revamping government schools, village clinics, and Aarogya Suraksha for doorstep delivery of health services and financial assistance without corruption, transparently provided by the YSRCP.
"In government schools, we made changes from infrastructure to digital classrooms with IFPs and smart TVs, providing Tabs to students, mid-day meals (Gorumudda), and distributing textbooks. We're introducing the IB curriculum, starting from first grade, and by 2035, students will complete the 10th grade certified and fluent in English," said Chief Minister Jagan.
He also listed measures taken in higher education like online certification courses from reputed universities, provided to students.
"Women empowerment schemes, Rythu Bharosa (financial assistance) supporting farmers from seeding to harvesting, and the RBK system further assisting farmers are implemented by the YSRCP government," the Chief Minister added.
He elaborated on measures like zero interest crop loans, 9-hour free electricity, input subsidies, crop insurance, MSP sales of crops, and 50 percent reservation in nominated posts for SC/ST/BC and minority communities. Sixty-seven percent of ministers were from SC/ST/BC and minority communities.
The Chief Minister also noted that 100 seats out of 200 (Assembly 175, General 25) were given to SC/ST/BC and minority communities. "But look at the opposition alliance. A Chief Minister who ruled for 14 years (3 terms), but did he do any good for the people of the state?" asked YS Jagan.
