YSRCP MPTC member arrested for thrashing petrol pump worker in Nellore

NELLORE: After a disturbing incident came to light on Wednesday, YSR Congress Party Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) Member Mahesh Naidu and his associates were arrested by the Nellore police for brutally bashing a youth named Teja on December 31. Nellore SP CH Vijaya Rao said that a case was registered against the MPTC and others under the SC/ST Atrocities Act, 1989.
Reportedly, Mahesh Naidu asked Teja to fill diesel for him free of cost, saying that he would pay the amount later. However, when Teja denied this request, Mahesh Naidu and the people with him started slapping him.
They slapped, kicked him and also thrashed him with an iron rod, which Mahesh Naidu was carrying in his car, leaving Teja terribly injured.
On Wednesday, the people were arrested and further investigation would be carried out. The youth is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
