AP to host Western Australian delegation in Visakhapatnam on July 16

VIJAYAWADA: The Government of Andhra Pradesh will be facilitating a 90-member business delegation coming from Western Australia to Visakhapatnam on July 16 to work in tandem on the "window of opportunity" for forging new investment opportunities in the various thrust sectors of the state.
The delegation would be coming to explore mutual avenues of collaboration and partnerships in investment, trade and exports. Officials at AP would showcase opportunities in mining, minerals and METS, Energy and Education sector.
This was said to be the most ambitious investment and trade mission so far since Australia re-opened its international border.
This particular visit would be earmarked as a significant one, in view of the resumption of the India-Australia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), which reaffirmed both countries' commitment to liberalise and deepen bilateral trade in goods and services.
The main objective of the visit was to focus on strengthening government and industry connections, unlocking opportunities for businesses in the Indian market and promoting the State as a destination for tourists, students, talent, events, business and investments.
The delegation has planned an eight-day visit to India from July 12 to 19, the delegation will be traveling to Delhi, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Chennai.
During this one-day event, the delegates would participate in an extensive program of activities, including government and corporate meetings, site visits, industry briefings and roundtables, one-to-one business matching and networking events with government and industry representatives.
The delegation would also meet various industry associations and conduct bilateral meetings to strengthen the trade relations with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
