APSRTC to run 62 STAR Liner services during Dussehra season
APSRTC MD said that the state-run corporation would run non-AC buses under the name ‘STAR Liner’ during the Dussehra festival season
AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Managing Director (MD) Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Thursday said that the state-run corporation would run non-AC buses under the name 'STAR Liner' during the Dussehra festival season. The MD said that they had decided to run a total of 62 STAR Liner buses on various routes on an experimental basis. The number of buses would be increased based on the response from the passengers.
Dwaraka Tirumala Rao further said that a toll-free number was also set up for the passengers to utilize the STAR Liner services. He said that the passengers could dial the toll-free number 0866-2570005 for any complaints as well as for suggestions.
On the other hand, the APSRTC had already announced that 4,100 special buses would be operated during the time of Dussehra festival. The APSRTC, for the first time, has decided not to hike the ticket charges for the special services. APSRTC said that these special buses would run to many parts of the state besides destinations like Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.
