AMARAVATI : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday delivered a power point presentation slamming the Opposition and its friendly media for portraying the state's financial management in a negative light, demonstrating that Andhra Pradesh has performed better than the previous government and many other states in the country.

He continued by claiming that former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his allies in the media are making a concerted effort to portray the state as being in dire straits by drawing comparisons to Sri Lanka, when in reality, Andhra Pradesh's growth rate is very positive and has been very encouraging.

The Chief Minister stated that by balancing welfare and development while overcoming obstacles, the state's performance was far better compared to that of the previous administration and even the national average. He provided a graphic breakdown of comparative data on GDP, loans taken, government guarantees, and other indices to indicate the financial management, which is clearly in the state's favour.

"The Gang of Four, which follows the principle of plunder, stash, and devour (dochuko, dachuko, thinuko), has started a vicious campaign to defame the government." People in the state need to understand that when the budgets of the previous and current governments are nearly identical, and the loans we have taken are less than those of the Chandrababu Naidu regime, why can't they carry out the welfare schemes we are implementing?

Earlier, Industries Minister G Amarnath said that the Opposition is attempting to tarnish the state's brand image by writing letters to stymie industrial growth in the state. K Parthasarathi, Abbaya Choudhary, and others listed the failures of the Chandrababu Naidu government as well as the initiatives and incentives provided by the state government to promote industries.
