Godavari recedes, Dhawaleswaram posts 25.80 lakh cusecs
The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said that the Godavari flood was receding slightly and flowing steadily at Dhawaleswaram.

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said that the Godavari flood was receding slightly and flowing steadily at Dhawaleswaram. It said that inflow and outflow at Dhawaleswaram barrage was reported as 25.80 lakh cusecs.
Advising the people living in the Godavari basin should be alert till the flood recedes completely, the state disaster management authority said that it wasregularly monitoring flood flow from State Control Room and deployed 10 NDRF and 10 SDRF teams for relief operations.
Dr. BR Ambedkar, MD of Disaster Management Authority said that as many as 324 villages in 62 mandals of six districts had been affected by the floods and 76,775 people have been evacuated and shifted to safer places. He said 71,200 people evacuated to 177 resettlement centres and set up 243 medical camps.
