Gorantla Madhav's video scandal is under probe; Taneti Vanitha

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Taneti Vanitha said on Tuesday that the controversial video of MP Gorantla Madhav was currently being investigated for morphing in a lab, and soon, it would be known if Madhav was guilty. She said that strict action would be taken if the MP was found guilty.

Taneti Vanitha said that there was no concrete material to criticise her government and that the YS Jaganmohan Reddy-led government gave priority to women in all the fields. She said the TDP had deliberately started despicable politics by releasing such 'cheap' videos.

Vanitha asserted that the MP himself complained about the video saying that it was morphed after which the government had started the investigation.

Referring to the atrocities committed against women during the TDP's rule, the minister asserted that 900 women were saved through the Disha app during YSRCP's rule.

The Home Minister clarified that the government was not protecting Gorantla Madhav and asked women leaders in the opposition party to maintain courtesy. She said that it was ridiculous to hold a round table meeting on this issue and opined that the people were observing the manner in which the TDP women leaders were making their speeches.
