AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday reportedly expressed his displeasure at his ministers for being passive in refuting the allegations by the opposition parties against the State Government. In a rather unusual tone, he even issued a stern warning that he would not hesitate even to reshuffle the council of ministers if they failed to be assertive while dealing with the tirade by the opposition. YS Jagan questioned the ministers as to why they were keeping mum when their family members were being criticised by their rivals.

The Chief Minister warned that he would reshuffle the cabinet if they remained dispassionate in this regard.

Meanwhile, the cabinet meeting, presided over by the Chief Minister, approved an investment of Rs 1.26 lakh crores pertaining to 57 key aspects besides an investment of Rs 81,000 crore for Green Energy which would provide an estimated 21,000 jobs.

The cabinet also approved the YSR Cheyutha scheme and the expansion of Bhavanapadu port. On the other hand, village secretariat employees expressed their happiness over the cabinet approving 85 new posts in the secretariats.

Here are the highlights of the key decisions approved at the cabinet meeting :

• Rs 1600 crores bank guarantee was approved for Amaravati phase 1 for basis amenities.

• The cabinet has given its nod for amending APCRDA act 2014, APMR and UDA Act 2016.

• Indian Ports Act 1908 would also be amended to increase the scope of Bhavanpadu Port.

• The cabinet agreed to provide guarantee for Rs 1000 crores loan from SIDBI for secondary food processing units.

• Setting up permanent Lok Adalats in Nellore, Kurnool, Vzianagaram and West Godavari with a staff of 40 members was also approved.

A investment of 1.25 lakh was sanctioned, which is likely to generate 60,000 employments in the industrial, power and tourism sectors.

The cabinet also decided to strengthen the State Architect Wing in Highways and Buildings.
