Jagan launches E-buses to Tirumala, first in AP

TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy inaugurated the first ever APSRTC electric buses on Tuesday. The 10 E-buses would run between Tirupati and Tirumala.
As part of the Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, the Chief Minister would also be visiting the temple and offering silk clothes to Lord Venkateshwara.
TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy said, the exhibition, which has been set up at kalyana vedika in the Tirumala devasthanam as part of the Brahmotsavams, threw light on the transformation of Tirumala in the last eight decades. "The Garden department has portrayed the mythological themes in a colourful manner. The episodes from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavata, Bhakta Tukaram, Trilokas, Viswarupa Darshanam in sand art are cynosure and the devotees will be a grand feast to the devotees' eyes", he said.
TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy along with the TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various wings of TTD at Kalyana Vedika on Tuesday.
Besides the arrangements by Garden wing, the Forest Wing of TTD, for the first time, replicated the Seshachala mountains and displayed various species of flora, fauna etc.
The photo exhibition by the Public Relations Wing portrayed the transformation of Tirumala temple from the 1940s till date, visits by prominent personalities, Tirumala in the past and present etc. The flexis on the recent initiatives by TTD also highlighted the development activities.
SV Ayurveda college and SV Ayurveda pharmacy have presented the medicinal plants while the Sri Venkateswara sculpture college showcased its sculpture art consisting of stone, metal, wood idols, paintings etc.
Inaugurating the Media Centre set up by TTD for supporting media personnel from across the country for the coverage of the celestial nine-day festival, the TTD Chairman said, "we will not compromise in achieving this objective of full patronisation of common bhaktas who will come a long way with all their hardships for Darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy."
"The prime focus is on facilitating the common devotees with adequate rooms, hassle-free Darshan and vahana sevas, laddus and Anna Prasadam as the annual event is taking place after two year gap of Covid pandemic," said TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
