Mother Mary statue vandalised in Machilipatnam

MACHILIPATNAM: A statue of Mother Mary was vandalised in Machilipatnam by unidentified miscreants. The incident happened opposite the RCM Church which is located in the close proximity of a police station and the district SP office abutting it.

The statue was smashed into pieces which were strewn around on the road in front of the RCM Church. The locals, who noticed the damaged statue, immediately alerted the police. The district police registered a case and are on the lookout for the vandals.
