No security breach in PM's visit, say police
Krishna district police have said that there is no breach of security during the Prime Minister Narendra Midi's visit to Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
AMRAVATI: Krishna district police have said that there is no breach of security during the Prime Minister Narendra Midi's visit to Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The police clarified that Congress leaders had given a nationwide call to oppose Prime Minister Modi by showing black balloons. The police had imposed Section 30 of Police Act
( Valuable security), and Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). Ahead of Modi's arrival, Congress leaders Sunkadara Padmashree, Parvathi and Kishore were seen walking towards the airport with black balloons. The police identified them and apprehended the three and booked them under sections 353, 341, 188, 145 of IPC. The balloons were bursted by the police.
Meanwhile, two Congress members Rajeev Ratan and Ravi Prakash climbed an under-construction apartment at Soorampalli, 4.5 km away from the airport, and released the balloons in the air soon after the Prime Minister's chopper had left the airport.
The police had taken Ravi Prakash into custody and Rajeev Ratan is absconding.
