Prawn gets stuck in man's nose, docs pluck out

HYDERABAD: In a freak incident, a prawn got stuck in the nose of a man accidentally in Ganapavaram of Eluru district, while catching shrimps.

A man was catching prawns, and suddenly a shrimp was stuck in his nose while he was entering the pond to catch shrimps.

As it did not come out for a long time, the farmer suffocated due to difficulty in breathing. His family immediately rushed him to a hospital in Bhimavaram. The doctor M Ramakrishna immediately removed the prawn from the nose through endoscopy and saved him.

The doctors said that farmers and farm laborers who go for the fishing into shrimp ponds should take necessary precautions.

As it did not come out for a long time, the farmer suffocated.
