Tension grips in Nellore as tribals stage sit-in in temple land grab incident

NELLORE: Tension gripped Nellore over temple land-grabbing incident after the tribals stage a sit-in following the demolition of the tribal woman's street shop near Sri Venugopala Swamy temple. Hundreds of tribals have extended their support to the tribal woman.

The tribals alleged that the temple authorities harassed the woman and threatened her and demanded money. It is learned that the ST leaders have alleged that the police have not yet registered a case.

Speaking on the occasion, tribal woman Devasena said that she was working there for 10 years and alleged that she was asked money and her shop was demolished as she denied money. "I will fight till I get justice," she said.
