YS Jagan releases YSR Free Crop Insurance funds; also slams Naidu and Pawan

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited the 'YSR free crop insurance scheme' funds into the bank accounts of insured farmers at a meeting held at Chennekothapalli in Sri Satya Sai district on Tuesday. An amount of Rs 2977.82 crore was released to benefit the farmers who lost their crops in 'Kharif' season 2021 in the state.
Jagan said that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was striving for the welfare of the farmers and people of the State. He also said that the government had spent Rs 1.2 lakh crore on farmers in the last three years including Rs. 6,685 crores as YSR Free Crop Insurance.
Jagan also slammed movie actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for criticizing various government programs. He said that the Jana Sena Chief was working alongside Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu. Jagan accused Naidu of cheating farmers and making false promises to women's groups. He also condemned the opposition over various issues and said that the ruling party was capable of putting up a good fight.
