The 69th National Film Awards, held on October 17th, 2023, was a glittering affair that brought together an array of prominent personalities from the world of Indian cinema. The prestigious event was graced by luminaries like Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli, Devi Sri Prasad, Rakshit Shetty, MM Keeravani, Buchi Babu Sana, R. Madhavan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and many more, making it a night to remember.


Notably, Allu Arjun made history by becoming the first Telugu actor to receive the National Award for Best Actor. This esteemed honor was bestowed upon him for his stellar performance in the 2021 action-drama blockbuster, 'Pushpa,' directed by the masterful Sukumar.

Allu Arjun, the trailblazer, and his elegant wife, Sneha Reddy, made a stylish entrance at Vigyan Bhavan for the awards ceremony.


The musical maestro, Devi Sri Prasad, received accolades for his exceptional work in 'Pushpa,' winning the National Award for Best Music Direction (Songs). The film featured a mesmerizing soundtrack with five unforgettable songs, including the chart-topping "Oo Antava" and "Srivalli."


The celebrated director, SS Rajamouli, was also in attendance, adding to the star-studded aura of the event. Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' received the coveted Golden Lotus Award for the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Prem Rakshit also received an award for the choreography of 'Naatu Naatu' song.


R. Madhavan walked away with the prestigious Golden Lotus Award for the Best Feature Film for his 2022 release, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.'


Making an impressive debut as a director, Buchi Babu Sana clinched the National Award for the Best Feature Film in Telugu for his 2021 romantic drama, 'Uppena.' Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the same Production House behind the acclaimed 'Pushpa,' received the award.
