Actress Rambha, kids escape unhurt from road accident in Toronto

HYDERABAD: Veteran Tollywood actress Rambha had a providential escape in a road crash in Canada on Monday. Her car was involved in a collision with another vehicle at an intersection in Toronto, where she lives with her family.

The mishap occurred when Rambha was returning home after picking up her children from school. The actress, her children and their nanny were in the car when the incident took place. Rambha posted a series of photos of the car crash on Instagram and said that they had escaped the accident with minor injuries. Her daughter Sasha was still in hospital.

"Our car was hit by another car at an intersection way back from picking kids from school! Me with kids and my nanny, all of us are safe with minor injuries. My little Sasha is still in the hospital. Bad days bad times. Please pray for us, your prayers mean a lot," posted the actress on her social media account.

Rambha was among the popular heroines who worked predominantly in Telugu and Tamil films in the 1990s'. In a career spanning almost two decades, she acted in more than 100 films across eight regional languages.

She is married to Canada-based businessman Indhran Pathmanathan. The couple were blessed with two daughters, Lavanya and Sasha, besides a baby boy. Messages expressing shock and wishing them well have been pouring in from Rambha's former colleagues in the industry and her fans.
