Ajith's Thunivu turns 'Thegimpu' in Telugu

HYDERABAD: This Sankranthi is going to be jam-packed with multiple releases. Already, Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy announced their respective arrivals during the festive season.
Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu is also getting dubbed into Telugu and getting released at the same time a Vaarasudu. Now, another Tamil star hero, Ajith joined the Sankranthi race in Telugu states. His upcoming film Thunivu will have a simultaneous Telugu release with the title 'Thegimpu'. An official first-look poster of Thegimpu was released by the makers the other day.
Popular overseas distribution channel Radhakrishna Entertainments and IVY Productions have jointly acquired the Telugu rights of Thunivu. The release date will be officially announced in a few days. Ajith enjoys a decent market in Telugu and thus, the makers decided to dub Thunivu here. The Telugu promotions will be kickstarted soon.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Thegimpu features Manju Warrier as the female lead. Boney Kapoor has bankrolled the project. This is the third project in the combination of Ajith, Vinoth and Boney, after Nerkonda Parvaai and Valimai. Ghibran is composing the music for the film.
